Seeding and Sod

We are one of Central Iowa’s residential, and commercial sod installers.

Sodding
A beautiful lawn starts with the installation of sod. We install only fresh cut premium Kentucky bluegrass grown right here in Iowa. Installations are performed to the highest standards with emphasis placed on the final grade. All sodded lawns are mechanically rolled to promote optimal soil to sod contact, and thoroughly watered one time upon installation. Sod requires continual watering until rooted, and this service is available.

Seeding
Seeding is a low cost alternative to sod. From varieties of Kentucky bluegrass, to your native grasses and wildflowers, we use only top quality seeds and seed blends.

We offer two types of seeding:

• Drill Seeding - Mechanically implanting seed to a predetermined depth, applying fertilizer, and straw mulch.
• Hydro Seeding - A mixture (slurry) of seed, fiber mulch, fertilizer, and water that is blown on to desired areas.

Seed does require more maintenance, and you should allow 2 to 3 years for your seeded lawn to obtain sod quality, and density.
